“Take a picture it'll last longer”
A couple of months ago, while out doing errands with my guys, we stopped into SEE’s. (Where I got my glasses and also where the coolest people work) So there we were, getting my glasses adjusted and the pretty lady that works there says to me that she’s been forgetting to tell people about the giveaway they are doing, but that I should sign up for it, maybe I’ll win. I don’t win those things but I figured my chances might be better than they usually are, since not a lot of other people had entered.
So today I brave heat stroke and take the twenty or so steps to our mail box and there is an envelope from SEE’s. Odd. Maybe they are having a sale or something. I open it and read the letter inside:
“Amy,
You won this item a few weeks ago. We notified you by phone, but I am sure a busy life has swept this prize out of your mind. Enjoy a bit of pampering on us, and thank you for choosing SEE!
John”
Now is that not THE coolest way to put YOU WON THIS. YOU DIDN’T ANSWER YOUR PHONE WHEN WE CALLED. HERE. ??
It’s really neat. They are neat. It’s all really neat.
So now I have a $30 gift card to Illusion Nail Spa in Green Hills. I’ve never had a manicure or anything like that before, honestly I am a little lost on the subject, I always thought it was too expensive. I know, I’m most likely that last chick in America. I could probably use a manicure, I do have working Mom hands. Anyone want to go with me?
I promised I would try to do more for myself, and this just gives me a reason to do so. Thank you SEE for being so awesomely cool!

Go with a pedi! They are more relaxing and last longer! With working mom hands the nail polish will chip off your fingers fast. With a pedi you get a leg massage and sometimes they have the massage chairs. There is a place in Santa Cruz that did $6 pedicures and I use to go all the time. Bliss! Enjoy.
